The Flu and You
What is the flu?
A respiratory illness caused by various influenza (flu) viruses. It is highly contagious and spreads from person to person.
Signs and Symptoms
Is it a cold or is it the Flu?
Both are respiratory illnesses, may be difficult to tell.
Flu is worse, symptoms more intense.
Cold is milder, may have runny/stuffy nose.
How does the flu spread?
Droplets from sneezing and coughing carry the virus to susceptible persons.
By touching items with flu viruses and then touching the nose or mouth.
