Welcome to the Social-Emotional Support Team
We are Rachel Levesque, School Social Worker, and Mary Schaefer, School Psychologist. Together we provide services to address the social, emotional and behavioral needs of Thoreau students. This includes offering individual counseling, conflict mediation, lunch bunch, parent consultation, teacher consultation and assessment of student needs. Common inquiries from parents include questions about school transitions, their child's development, peer relations, and placement.
In addition, Rachel Levesque coordinates and helps develop Section 504 Accommodation Plans and Mary Schaefer is the Special Education Initial Referral Coordinator.
