Welcome to fifth grade! |
Following graduation from Boston University with a student teaching experience in the Bedford Public Schools, Mr. Lemaire joined the staff of Thoreau School. During his forty-year tenure he has taught the intermediate grades in self-contained classrooms and in team-teaching, multi-age grouping classrooms serving groups of fifty and seventy students. He has served as the grade level chair for many years and at times as the chair of the mathematics and language arts curriculum committees. He particularly enjoys teaching mathematics and served as a teacher-trainer with TERC in Cambridge. His dramatics productions have become a tradition at Thoreau School, popular with their fifth grade
