Welcome to the Thoreau School Library |
The Thoreau School Library is an open-door resource for the more than 440 students, over 90 teachers and staff members, and all the parents and guardians who make up our school community.
Our collection contains almost 14,000 items including books, ebooks, periodicals, and multimedia resources such as DVDs, books on tape and MP3's. Over 23,500 items were circulated last year.
All K-5 students visit the library each week. In addition, students may visit to borrow books, to find resources for reading groups and classroom assignments, to use our ten library computers, or to find information for research projects.
Our on-line Destiny catalog is searchable from the library computers, from the classroom and from home.
