Thoreau CARES for Haiti

The Thoreau School community is saddened by the events in Haiti.
We are so proud of our students who have been moved to help by initiating projects in their classrooms.
For more information, talk to your child or your child's teacher to find out what you can do to help.

Ms. Watson's second graders are selling student-made friendship bracelets.
Mrs. Keefe's and Mr. Hourihan's fifth graders have been collecting blankets and tents.
Ms. Christensen's fourth graders are selling bracelets.
Ms. Powderly's fourth graders are participating in a read-a-thon.
Ms. Hoyt's fifth graders are doing a homework project.
Mrs. Dillons's fourth graders are selling 'Hope for Haiti' buttons.
All students are participating in a jump-a-thon in physical education class.
Ms. Erickson's fourth graders are selling Thoreau School pencils.

You can sense our students call to action through the eyes of this fourth grade student in her video created to advertise the pencil sale going on in her classroom.
